Bianca’s Approach to Consultation and Supervision

Therapists often seek Dr. Rucker’s expertise to help them deal with sexual dysfunctions and couples counselling challenges that their clients are presenting. Some therapists would like to learn more about how to use specific therapy modalities such as the Sexual Crucible Approach or how to improve their skill with using Clinical Hypnosis. Supervision or consultation is geared toward meeting the goals that the therapist has for professional development.

In general, Dr. Rucker uses the Satir Growth Model for supervision which focuses on helping the therapist develop knowledge and skills congruent with their own counselling or therapy approach.

Consultation

Dr. Rucker provides consultation for professional counsellors and therapists who would like her input on specific cases or topics. The fee for consultation is $245 per hour.

Supervision

Bianca Rucker is an Approved Supervisor with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT). She provides supervision for experienced therapists who wish to gain more understanding of couples therapy and addressing clients’ sexual issues. Supervision with Dr. Rucker allows therapists to meet supervision requirements to become a clinical member of CAMFT and thereby also a clinical member of the British Columbia Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (BCAMFT). Supervision with Dr. Rucker also allows therapists to meet requirement for the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) in order to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

Therapists who see Dr. Rucker for supervision find that their sessions with her are excellent learning experiences with great opportunities for professional growth and for acquisition and application of new knowledge.
